The jewel positioned on the edge of the South Downs National Park, with river, castle, cathedral, packed with historic buildings and set within a magnificent townscape, Arundel is an inspiration to many and we are lucky to have lived and worked in the town for over 30 years.

As a small RIBA Chartered Architectural practice, we specialise in local private individual residential projects of all scales and although our location leads us to work primarily on properties that are invariably either listed or located within in a conservation area, or the National Park, this is not exclusive and we work on new, refurbished, or on extensions of properties up to at least a 50 mile radius.

Although now more focused on the smaller private domestic sector, my background since RIBA qualification (a few decades ago), was on large scale office parks, primarily as a Director of a successful commercial practice working in the UK and abroad. I have therefore, a broad design background and wide experience of the construction industry, within different market sectors and on projects of very different scales.

This website is intended primarily to focus on residential projects, drawing upon the experience I have gained over 14 years since starting John Wheatley Architecture.

Please open the residential or commercial GALLERIES, for a selection of past projects, or for a more detailed commercial references:  www.jw-architecture.com, or my previous practice website www.thorpewheatley.com.
